This support team works completely remote, meaning they work from the comfort of their own home. Although Apple is aware that it is more comfortable to work from home, they are outspoken in stating the nature of these roles is still professional and they expect nothing less.

At Home Advisor

The At Home Advisor is on the frontline of customer service and support- providing support for both software and hardware. They are responsible for speaking with customers directly. They answer technical questions, provide technical support and also assist with troubleshooting.

At Home Team Manager

The At Home Team manager is a team-focused position. Their responsibility is to manage the At Home Advisor via online meetings and coaching sessions to ensure Apple customers are receiving the best support possible.

At Home Area Manager

The At Home Area Manager’s responsibility is to supervise At Home Team Managers. They will ensure customers’ problems are being resolved appropriately. At Home Area Managers are expected to provide business-level consulting and results based on business requirements.

What is Required?

Before you apply, there are a few things you’ll need:

  • A quiet space that is free of distractions where the door can be closed
  • An ergonomic chair
  • A hard-wired Internet connection (10mbps download and 3mbps upload)
  • The ability to be able to type at least 35 WPM
  • Mac and Apple product experience isn’t required, but it is a benefit
  • Proven technical ability and troubleshooting experience
  • Customer service focus and a passion for support
  • The ability to multitask
  • A love for tech and helping people
  • The ability to work on holidays, weekends, and peak hours

Before you apply, make sure you live within about 100 miles of the position location you are applying for.

If you do apply, you’ll be requested to complete a video conference interview. If they decide to move forward with you, you’ll be requested to complete a background check. Once your background check comes back, you will then begin the onboarding and training process.
